Dr Ruiters has more than 20 years experience in molecular and cell-biology.
His work focused on the development of recombinant DNA-technology for fundamental
research and clinical development. He is affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine of the
University of Groningen as a part-time associated professor.

He was co-inventor of the SAINT technology and co-founder of Synvolux. In 1999 he was granted with
the Ernst & Young Business Award as a member of the winning team of the NIABA BioBusiness Masterclass contest.
